Unique Gifts, Memorable Celebrations…is this a good slogan?
I am attempting to market tribute videos, and other unique digital gifts, etc. Does anyone have any marketing ideas for a small advertising budget. I do have a website and have advertised in the small local paper, but so far nothing. I have also sent brochures to local schools…still waiting. I think I have a good product/service but marketing is difficult. The videos are great for anniversary parties, birthdays, graduations, sports teams, etc and I have other services but I need to get the word out and am stuck for ideas that are inexpensive. Most of my budget went for equipment. Please suggest.
Thank you!

I would definitely get some business cards made and pass them out to schools, churches, anywhere special events are held. Have you thought about advertising with funeral homes? Many people like to use special tribute DVDs at funeral services. Another idea would be to look up all the party planners in your area and send them your cards/fliers, etc.. Also, I would pass out your info to florists. They do all sorts of special events and maybe they can get the word out. Perhaps you can also print up some brochures. You can either do them yourself on your own printer, or get copies made at a place like Staples, Office Depot, etc… And yes, I do think your slogan is a good one! Good luck with your new business!

Sorry, but I feel the slogan is very weak.
I was surprised to see that your product is tribute videos, and other digital gifts.
The slogan should reflect the nature of the product.
Good luck.

Try volunteering your services to local schools and not-for profit organisations in your area, then send presss releases of the projects you’ve done to your local free newspapers (there should be a few near you), as this kind of stuff invariably runs sometime or other.
Press releases are a great way to promote your business for little cost – find some good boks on PR for small businesses and send off press releases as regularly as possible. This means of course having a steady supply of news-worthy stories to tell …but doing volunteer work for charities etc in one way to generate those stories.
Good luck.

Why don’t you advertise and promote your business for free on a socialized business network. Here is one:
